Every year we recognize and honor an individual or group of individuals for his/her contribution to the United States military. COVID-19 has forced us to examine how we will accomplish our program this year. So, we have decided to have two options. First, we will showcase our past honorees in a slideshow and include a couple of new honorees that have been discussed for this years program. See link below that will become active on Friday, February 19, 2021. Secondly, local Vietnam Veteran and poet Willie Laughinghouse will be honored at GI Joes Museum on February 21 at 2pm. Also scheduled to speak at the program is Councilmember and President of the local US Colored Troops Re-enactors Sammy Aiken. He will present an informative program on the history of the United States Colored Troops. Seating will be limited and Covid guidelines will be observed.
